Appletree Academy Preschool

The Director

16 Years  Experience! set in a loving Jan McDonough has a degree in Elementary Education, and 16 years teaching experience.  She writes all the curriculum and prepares all the lesson plans for the entire school.  She first opened the doors of Appletree Academy in September of 1994 with just four students.  She began with the intent of making a positive difference in the life of a preschooler in a loving, Christian environment.  Appletree now has the enrollment capacity of 8 separate preschool classes each year!  Jan hopes that children will come to realize that learning is not only possible, it is fun too!  

Preschoolers are such a joy to teach. They are so thirsty for knowledge. We are ready to quench that thirst!  It has been an exciting journey thus far to meet the hundreds of children that have come through our doors. 

Introducing  educational concepts with structure; learning how to follow directions with patience; developing important social skills, and making new friends are all part of the Appletree Academy experience.   

Our Staff

We have a wonderful staff of qualified teachers that help to instill the Appletree philosophy that "Learning is Fun" as they develop a nurturing relationship with each preschooler.
